Can anyone help me? watched a band in the Walkabout yesterday aft, was on about 4ish i think.
Was wondering who it was, they were a 3piece with a woman singer, to me sounded abit like early Sonic Youth with slant6/lovely person*s with attitude type singer.
    Cheers in advance

Go on the Live in Barnsley facebook/twittet page. There's a schedule showing who played when.

Although, they are normally a 4-piece. One of the band members couldn't make it.

    Very good they were.

Drove past Blah Bar/Walkabout yesterday at about 5/6pm (on way back to Holmfirth from Old Moor Nature reserve). Seemed to be a bit of a police presence including police horses, had summat kicked off?

My heart skipped a beat for a second, thought id bloody missed a Barnsley game to see a load of black headed gulls.

Preventative measures I think. I was out 12-9 and din't see any trouble at all. It was a cracking day with some really good local musicians (and a couple of rubbish ones too).

I was surprised at the amount of police on patrol too. Every pub i went in was busy but didn't see one bit of trouble. Great day all round, and just reaffirms my belief that Barnsley has a great batch of quality bands and musicians that easily match owt in Sheffield.

According to a police notice they estimated >3000 people attended the event and there was not one arrest. Good effort people of Tarn.
