    Anyone been to one before? What type of bands will be playing and what genres? Hoping it'll be 60's Rock or some Ska

    I went last year for the afternoon as I was giggin in the evening. Thought it was brilliant the town was busy. Think it's a cracking thing for Barnsley to have.

    Programmes £2 at Walkabout..with profiles of bands

    Get the programme and choose the band ,venue you want. Personally I'll avoid any Ska as it may attract the right-wing nutters who are probably in Tarn today.
    Been the last 2 years and it's been brilliant Old school rock and Indie will do for me, and perhaps catch an acoustic session or 2 .

    It won't feature the type of music I like so it's not for me but it's a great event for the town - let's hope all the pubs are busy and everyone has a good time with no bother.

    I hadn't so I had a look and it seems to be industrial and goth music.

    The German festival I would love to go to is Wacken Open Air which I believe is near Kiel. They have a cracking line up every year.

    One of my colleagues goes to Wacken every year. Is Amphi your kind of thing?

    I'm being dragged along this year by the missus, only heard of 3 bands playing because she's subjected me to them many many times. Fish out of water.

    VNV Nation and Neuroticfish are alright, even if it's not my type of music. Birthday Massacre are kind of Euro pop trash music. I think I might have to sink a few beers during this weekend though!
