Just been reading their posts on their site. Who the F *** do they think they are?
    Good bye Liverpool.
    Goodbye Benitez!

    You Reds

"For a joke of a club, we have an interesting game on Tuesday. Inter Milan. Champions League. And we will rise to their level rather than descend to Barnsley's. "

Enjoy your win, shame you cant get pumped up for your normal league games where you revert back to being the rabbits you are.

Only in football can a result like this happen, any other sport and you would be so far behind the ref would have stopped the fight.

You were battered from a footballing perspective and had 2 chances only, bit of a joke really no justice in football at all sometimes.

Instead of lauding your players, you should be having a go at them for not trying that hard in the league matches, obviously ripping of the paying fans with the dross you normally play.

Your keeper MoM says it all really, football is a joke sport sometimes!!

People treat defeats like this like a bereavement. You can't think rationally. Hence the reason the post-match threads are an embarrassment. But if you wish to scour through looking for an arrogant comment, then continue. You'll find loads.

    2 chances?

He didn't watch the same game as me then.

We could easily have had two penalties and their keeper should have been off as well!

"any other sport and you would be so far behind the ref would have stopped the fight."

    Surely that's only in boxing!

So far behind? How? I thought it was about how many times you put the ball in the net, not the amount of possession you had!

Sorry mate, we realise not everyone's like that

    Especially yourself.

I don't think folk are suggesting that Liverpool itself is like that.

To be fair if we'd lost to Cheltenham or something some of our fans'd probably say the same sort of thing.

Personally I thought Liverpool were awful

Yes they had more ball and a few more chances, but they were shaky at the back, wasteful up front and powder puff in midfield without Gerrard.

RE: Personally I thought Liverpool were awful

You won't see Lucas and Alonso in the centre together much after that. But I could see the reasoning. They are best passers of the ball and Benitez knew we would be in control of the ball for the majority of the game. But we're not creative and/or clinical enough in front of goal. People have said we're a winger and a playmaker away from being a top-class side for about five years and yet we haven't addressed the problem.

Well good luck for the rest of the season...

I've always thought Liverpool are okay and have a lot of good friends who support them.

But you're right... I have to say that although common sense suggested Liverpool should win, I had a somewhat strange inner confidence that if we played well we would cause problems due to a lack of confidence seen in Liverpool recently.

Knew it was an outside chance obviously but in one sense I'm not totally surprised having seen Liverpool a lot.

I like to think there was some divine intervention after we were shafted by a dodgy referee in 1998 v Liverpool, which arguably sent us down.

Good luck for the rest of the season buddy, you scousers are a good bunch.
