So their fans were protesting and even got a 'celebrity' film made to try to get rid of the previous owners (if you haven't seen it have a look on youtube and it will manage to take your dislike of Liverpool fans up from 99% to 100%, particularly when you hear Ian McCulloch's comments, where he clearly took the first part of the word analogy literally and started talking sh!te), because they didn't think the previous owners were spending enough money of players. Is this what they wanted from the new owners then? Chucking silly money on overrated players and then letting them go for a fraction of the price? £35m on Andy Carroll and then loaning him to West Ham for the season for £2m with a view to a £17m transfer if West Ham stay up. Making such a quick loss on a player like that (and don't forget the wages and signing on fee they would have paid Carroll on top of the transfer fee) would bankrupt most clubs in the Championship. And bully for West Ham eh? If they had not gone up they were in real danger of going into administration. One late Vaz Te goal later and they are able to start thinking of spending £17m on one player. When these two clubs end up in financial trouble again I won't have any sympathy for them.
They've had their bid accepted but that's it. Andy Carroll doesn't want to go to West Ham, probably waiting for a chance to return to Newcastle United.
And that Aqularni (spelling) bloke who's now gone for an undisclosed fee. I hate Liverpool with a passion and would love to see them go to the wall.
