Apparently/allegedly. Nice bit of PR/spin I think. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/BRISTO...w-head-coach/story-28687828-detail/story.html
Jesus one month of relatively decent somewhat lucky form and you'd think he was Alex Ferguson. He's got a good PR to keep that hype machine going to be fair to him.
Like who? Watkins, Isgrove, Brownhill, Hammill, White, Long and Mawson all played well today and were brought in during his tenure
The chance to work in the premier league? That could mean anything to be fair. Doesn't say manager. Sent from my I-Microwave using the internets
It's just the usual spin to try get supporters onside, how many times have we heard that players turn down championship clubs to sign for us,
Annoys me when our club churn out this type of rubbish about players. They said it about Mawson. There may have been interested in Mawson from above but if there was a serious offer then why in his right mind would he be here? Footballers always chase the best financial offer. Always. I really don't see a problem with this but the spin is so cringeworthy!
To precis: We've done an amazing job to get him here, he thinks we're a bigger opportunity than the Prem or leading a team out at Wembley so please don't criticise when he loses a few games. PR tastic
Delighted to have landed a head coach he describes as "a good fit for this football club", Lansdown told the Post: "Lots of Premier League clubs have been trying to get him to go on to their coaching staffs. Lee is much sought-after and we are lucky to have him. He is an in-demand manager and we are very excited to have him here and are looking forward to working with him." Re: To precis: See if he's saying same in 12 months, when he's out of a job, great talker , average manager
Re: To precis: He's a poor talker. Remember the keeper having a worldie, Sam winnall needing to spin his head around more, blaming individual players and then when the manager was to blame saying 'we don't play the blame game here'. He was a poor poor talker who's comments regularly had nothing to do with what had actually happened
He's full of it isn't he. Wait til they try and get their heads around the Corridor of Confusion, Bomb Alley & the Safe Zone. They'll wonder whats hit em.
Who's been without a manager in the Prem recently? Swansea & Chelsea? Absolute ******** In other news Mido has won slimmer of the week
"Considering offers from the PL when City came knocking" BUT he was on a three year contract with Barnsley. Blimey, glad we're rid of that one.
