Coming down quite thick and settling in Darton.
What's it like where you are? Made an executive decision not to risk daughter getting stuck in Penistone and kept her off school.

'Nowt in Haworth, but we're still trying to dig ourselves out of the last dollop, so it's probably for the best.
was settling on the dearne valley bypass around 7.20. coming down and settling here in sheffield - should be fun getting home if this keeps up...!
Loads coming down in Sheffield, but it is fine and flaky.. Missus on her way back from Chesterfield where they've shut the school due to the heavy snow. On its way North towards Sheffield now but how far it will get I don't know.
Minus 9 celcius and 1,75 metres of snow And we're expecting 50-75cm more snow during the weekend. Then below minus 20 celcius temp next week. Thank God i'm off to Bergen for the weekend.
I'm in Northamptonshire, not sure I've seen it as bad as this in my lifetime, or at least not in the last 10 years or so
It's brilliant!

Can't believe she was actually disappointed about not going.
What's wrong with kids these days?

RE: Can't believe she was actually disappointed about not going. Wife has taken her to her school and put her in a class......bet her friends will be jealous
Made a similar decision to yours Laura disappointed but told her to stay home. Wasn't too bad at 7.45 when thinking about going for school bus but thought if it got worse didn't want to run risk of not being able to get to Kingstone for her - the road behind us where we park was still a skating rink this morning at 5.30 when Kev went to work so won't be any better now that a couple of inch of snow has settled on it. She's full of cold anyway and I don't want to find she would have had to walk home if school closes.
The M1 did not appear to have been gritted for a while But it did't stop the 3 series BM drivers tail gateing me!.
Yer live in Darton but yer kid goes to school in Penistone?! It's coming down steady in Halifax....just wondering when I should set off home
Coming darn quite fast near Wuzbra already. Glad I ain't in dat Dea-Dah land today!
Thi dog looks quite happy wii t' snow anyroad.
