100% correct. Live in THEIR country, abide byTHEIR rules, wish we had the same attitude here instead of pampering to everybody and costing us a fotrtune into the bargain.
Exactly, the sooner this arse-piece of a labour government get voted out the better. This country needs to start and take a hard line on all the free-loaders and the politically correct brigade, britain is for BRITISH people! if immigrants want british citizenship i'm all for it provided they don't impose their religious beliefs and costs on the normal working british man, i.e you couldn't get away with building a church, be it RC OR C OF E in basra or bahgdad AND get their government to pay for it so why should we in this country. If these people want their places of worship, they should save up, buy the land themselves and then build what they like on it and NOT have the british tax-payer paying for it, it's a bloody disgace this country and labour have a LOT TO ANSWER FOR!!! P.S. This is only my opinion so i'd prefer it if you didn't slander me as racist as i've got quite a few ethnic mates in the forces so you wouldn't be further from the truth.
Define being British Born here? or ... There was a program on TV about how British people were using genetics and their DNA. Lots of people had some very surprising influences and weren't that British You've got a ver good point though, people who want to go and live somewhere you should integrate, learn the language and experience their culture. Bloody Australians who live in ghettos around Acton and only go to Aussie pub ... do my nut in. The Brits who live in Spain and don't learn Spanish and live in enclaves where they just hang out with other Brits.
The amusing thing is Canadians are descended from immigrants who invaded the country and stole the land from the people who were living there originally. Do you think his ancestors were sensitive to the traditions of the country they were moving to?
RE: Define being British I think your on to summat there. When english people go to spain they all of a sudden get patriotic, wearing england shirts and the like. Open english bars and fish and chip shops. But when its the other way round, we expect other cultures that come to britain to "adapt" to our ways, they are only doing what we would do, grouping together with people they know and a way of life they understand. Understanding and accepting diversity is the way out. And that goes for all the cultures.
Something that really made me laugh The last installment of 7-up that follows a group of children goes back and looks how people are doing every 7 years. I think the last one was 42-up. There was a bloke on there from the East End of London. He'd moved to Spain because "This country is going to the dogs", and "where I grew up is full of immigrants, and curry houses". He'd moved to the Costas and ... opened an English pub, serving traditional English food and showing English football. The irony was probably lost on him.
Do you think...........
....the imposition of British culture is a detriment to the Costa Del Sol?

"This is only my opinion so i'd prefer it if you didn't slander me as racist" Eh? How does that work then? Don't say you are a racist because it's your opinion! (chinny)
RE: Do you think........... No, just as the introduction of asian culture is of benefit here. The point were trying to make is that this guy went to spain because there were too many immigrants and curry houses. His answer to this was to become an immigrant and open an english pub. See what were getting at?????
So what is mentioned in that article, that the local authorities have said they can't do, is this government allowing them to do?
RE: "This is only my opinion so i'd prefer it if you didn't slander me as racist" What alot of people dont understand is..... Yes, everybody is entitled to an opinion, but everybody else is entitled to reply to that opinion and state theirs. If you say something you should be prepared for the consequences what you say and do.
I know what your point was.
I asked a question.

What benefit do you think Asian culture brings to the UK?
