Call me a scaredy cat - but I have to go to Central London on business next week, and there's no way I'm going underground. Anyone know what the wait is like for Taxis at LKX these days, and in the event of the worst coming to the worst, which is the best way to walk to the Westminster area. I reckon I would have about 90 mins to get there.
scaredy cat ! plenty of taxis at KX how long it'll take depends very much on what time you arrive, getting accross in the rush can take ages. personally I'd get the underground, whose to say you won't get blown up standing around at KX!
Chuff off! I don't like it at the best of times, but certainly not now!:S I need help, counselling, anything!
RE: You could get a bus Farnham what are you laughing at? I hope that you dont think that attacking buses is funny.
Bit of a nightmare when I was down there the week after the bombs. Arrived at 9.30 and the queue was about twice the length it usually is and not that many Taxis arriving. Took the tube and that was ok if the line you want is open (used Metropolitan line) which was running a full service. Might be getting a bit back to normal now
Cheers matey It won't be rush hour, probs later in morning. Would need to do the Piccadilly line through Russell Square. I'm gonna arrive early I think and gimme time to queue. If not then gotta street guide an I reckon I could walk it in 50.
Definitely not I was having a dig at Red Rag. who admitted he was a scaredy cat. Of course I dont think there is any humour at all in the terrorist attacks. Apologies if I gave any other impression.
RE: Cheers matey no worries. When you going? I'm down there Friday so could let you know how it is if you are going next week.
