    Thought they'd done a deal

    with a brewery that do a beer called Bit, providing that Budweiser could use the name Bud in Germany which they were previously not allowed to do as it was deemed too similar to Bit.

    just lucky

    I was able to take it.
    they tried to confiscate my camera at the gate - claiming it was a
    "professional" camera (which it is, really) but in a very un-German way
    the rule wasn´t 100 % strict, so I managed to sneak it into the stadium
    under my jacket

    oh and best thing: talking to this Hoyland guy who´d been in Frankfurt since Wednesday without having anywhere to sleep, but still going strong... "You scandinavians probably put on some suncream and even drink some water - but hey: we´re English so we get sunburned and keep drinking beer!".
