My guess is I would be very surprised if Southampton get away without a points deduction and without one they will have difficulty getting to 48 points. Norwich and Nottingham also have difficulty getting to 48, 49 points with their remaining fixtures. Win on Saturday and we would be on 48 points leaving 2 or 3 points more to be home and dry.

    on the other hand...........

Forest didn't look ike a relegation side-we have 4 away games where we try and fail to hold on to a 0-0 and home against Wolves who are top and Swansea who have a great away record-we could get zilch from now on IMHO

Forest did - I thought they were awful - and we matched them.

Forest were poor and so were we. We're down at the bottom because we've not been good enough again this season.

I fear more for our survival chances this season than I did in the other 2 previous seasons, as there seems to be an element of complacency amongst players and some fans.

But I'm a **** apparently and not a real fan because I'm realistic rather than deluded.

War Tyke called me something along those lines but I couldn't be bothered to look back and check.

I'm just very worried. More so than in previous seasons.

I keep hearing that we're close to being a top side when in fact we are still a poor side.

I keep hearing how JCR is this and that and Anderson is one of the best in league etc but we're not dominating or winning games.

That may be down to the manager but all I'm saying is that I'm very very worried this season, whereas in the past 2 seasons I always had faith we'd escape the drop.

I pray that we do this year of course but I think it is going to be a very difficult run in.

I genuinely don't think we are too far away from being a top Championship side. whether SD is the manager to make us that side is another question.

we are as close to being a top Championship side as I was to the kerb.

I think you're echoing the thoughts of many. What worries me is that we're becoming dependant on lots of teams around us slipping up rather that being capable of taking matters into our own hands and I just can't see it happening.

Imho Donny, Derby, Blackpool, Plymouth, Norwich, Forest and even Southampton seem capable of pulling a result from somewhere whereas I just can't see it from us with Davey in charge. We need inspiration from somewhere and he's just not the man to do it.

I have a horrible feeling that we're going to have to go to Plymouth needing a result.

    Yup

Think the majority of our squad are. Missing a top quality striker and possibly a manager to mould those players into a consistently performing team.

Whilst Donny fans will enjoy trips to Newcastle and Middlesboro, we'll be off to Hartlepool.

    How'd you like them apples?

    RE: Yup

I think even our better players are far too inconsistent. I love watching De Silva when he's on top of his game. The way he makes space for himself and sees a pass is premiership quality. It's just a joy. Trouble is, he plays like that once every three games and in the other two he's anonymous. JCR had an excellent spell earlier in the season, but since Christmas he's been ****. JCR apart the midfield haven't got a goal in them. Our strike force is just not a force at all. The 'keeper and the defence are decent enough, but they're not like the promotion season of '97 when Thompson and Eaden would create you dozens of goals throughout the season.

Whatever happens this season I believe it's time to change managers in the summer. But even with a new manager I think we'd again struggle with the squad we have and be down the bottom end of the table again next season, providing we stay up of course.

To be fair I preferred League 1 grounds anyway

Cos they were all 30 minutes away. There's only Coventry like that in this division.</p>

Was In the kebab shop near home at 10.04pm last night. How was Halifax Road etc ?
