...of teams at the bottom of the table and how it is important to take points from these 'mini league' fixtures. So the teams who are slightly adrift of the rest are: 20th. Barnsley 21st. Bristol City ---------------------- 22nd. Sheffield Wednesday 23rd. Ipswich Town 24th. Peterborough United We've already played Bristol, Ipswich & Peterborough at Oakwell...taking 4 points from a possible 9. Sheffield Wednesday are at Oakwell next month and we still have to play all 4 teams away from home in 2013. Are we confident of gaining many points in this 'mini league'?
Rather play em away. Our home record under 'Kin Keith (certainly since December 2011) is fcukin embarrassing. Not looking forward to Wednesday hoofing it against our centre halves.
I think Peterborough will be first to go, unfortunately, and rather embarrassingly, we're not far off them.
It is a long season with barely a third gone, and many twists and turns still to come. At this stage of the season even a half decent run of resukts can will have a team in the bottom five propelled into mid table.
trouble is we dont look like going on a half decent run,Birmingham away feels as far back as watching alan clark get us out of the 4th division.
Well, either the new players gel quickly and we do go on a decent run, or Keith will shortly be out of a job. Which will it be? I really don't know, and wouldn't like to guess. I know what I hope will happen, just as I suspect that there are a few on here who will take great pleasure if things do all go pear-shaped.
If our form doesn't improve within a few games I don't think Keith will be in charge by the start of December.
I think you could be right but I still can't see him getting the chop He needs to play with width like we did later on yesterday...
Apparently we were no better in the last 20 mins according one on here that seems to think he knows more that the rest of us!!
Update: Well that's now 1 win from a possible 3 at home against Bristol, Peterborough and Wednesday. Ipswich now look to have left our 'mini league'. Next match against a side at the bottom is Peterborough away on New Years Day. The Birmingham home game also looking quite important if we don't want to be cut really far adrift from 20th upwards
