    I need to stop.

I have just convinced myself that both Peterborough and Blackburn will stay up meaning we might not be safe on 55pts.

I am off for a lie down....

I'm constantly checking it too and I must have done that predictor thingy umpteen times. I had us going down on Friday, but our point yesterday and Huddersfield failing to win had us staying up. Actually, when I did it yesterday I had us finishing above dirty Leeds, so I liked that one the best. 54 or 55 points might keep us up, but, as we've seen since Christmas, anything can happen in the Championship.

Whatever happens though, I reckon there's going to be no more than half a dozen points separating relegation and the top half of the table. And what's more, in all this we're even forgetting to laugh at Sean O'Driscoll for choosing Bristol City over us!

If you look at it with the form guide as well ....

    It makes it even worse!

Peterborough haven't lost in eight games but still in bottom three.

    Blackburn haven't won in 10.

Wolves won three on the bounce but still only one point out of it and with injuries galore.

Leeds have lost four on the spin, not won in six.

Huddersfield have a shocking goal difference.

Surely though if Peterborough and Blackburn stay up that will suck others in. My worst case scenario predictor had us going down on 55 with Hudders and Brum and Burnley staying up on the same total pn goal difference. Wolves finished 10th. But I did that before Blackburn and Leeds started looking quite so dodgy. Realistically I think 55 will be the absolute maximum needed as too many teams will take points off each other.

Yep, even a half decent return against the crappers of the division would have us in the top six. Except of course then Hill would never have been sacked. .......

I don't remember ever looking at it as frequently as I am this season and every time I look I change my mind about who is going down.

I've now started doing the " if we'd won last week & if we'd got that point there" then trying to see how the league table old look. I just hope for the life of me that we stop up

If the worst happens and we do end up down - this is what will have cost us - allowing Posh/Fowls etc to take points off us - we'd have been better beating them than the top teams. if we could have only got draws with those two we would have been 4 points better off and both of them 4 points worse off - a massive 8 point swing - we'd have been laughing and maybe safe now.

I originally said 55 points & people laughed...

Now even 55 could be close

Two wins needed. 54 will be enough.

You have to think that as 52 is the most a side has ever been relegated with 54 ought to do it - though I can see a side going down on 54 points on GD and ours isnt the best (or the worst)
2 wins and 54 points should be enough - but I would be happier if we can get to 55 or more
wouldnt want to be going to Huddersfield on any less than 55 points unless we both only needed a draw to stop up

Beat charlton and derby and we will be safe. My prediction is current bottom three will go down

We will have 60pts by the finish. No problems. Our form says so. And it's not as if it's only recent form, been going on ages now.

You mean we'd be 4 points better off and they would both have been 8 points worse off - they gained an extra 2 points for each win over what the draw would have given them. The swing would have been 12 points and it would virtually be done and dusted.
