Yes we are two points off the bottom four but we have at least a game in hand over every team in the bottom half expept scunny and oldham some teams we have two games in hand over. Vale game is a massive game and a winnable one if wilson gets tactics right (dont play berry and hourihane in center midfield). Im not buying it that football has changed plenty of managers have been around as long or nearly as long as wilson and still doing jobs at top teams. We just need to stay up this year and sort squad out in summer look at bristol from last year to this. (Trying to be postive) but muvh needed win next weekend espesially for wilson get behined em !!!
The squad was supposed to be sorted last summer so we wernt gunna have to make lots of signings in the next few years wasnt it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We were waiting for cog to leave and free up wages we signed a full squad in about 10 days was always going to make mistakes and I was trying to put a positive light on all the relegation posts. We need to improve and danny needs to sort it out but I honestly cant see us been relegated I maybe wrong but there are four worse teams then us in this league fleetwood are sixth ffs getting crowds of 2k.
Games in hand are only any good if you win them. And we haven't done much of that this season have we
The club didnt make the noises 'we are bringing in these young, long term players so we dont have to make many signings over the next few years but if everything turns out **** we'll blame COG not moving until July (was it?)' did they? So they dont have that to fall back on now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd suggest you go back and watch Danny's interviews in the summer on Player. He pretty much forecast all this, but he did then suggest we'd kick on in the second half of the season.
Good number of winnable games coming up. We should have 42 or 43 points by the end of February and be sitting mid table at least. I'm not worried in the slightest. Just bored, like others, of hearing the extreme reactions when we lose a match. We're not going down, we're not going up. The sooner everyone takes that on board the better. Next season will be the test of this management setup. If they fail then, so be it. They will be gone. This season is NOT the season to make yet another change.
I'd like to agree with that ^, but I'm afraid you can't blame people for being really hacked off at terrible performance - especially if they spent a lot of money to go and see them. We've been poor this season, and these gutless displays annoy everyone. To say "We're not going down" is also a big statement - 2 points clear of the bottom 4 scares the s*** out of me!
I believe we will be turning the corner soon as DW knows what is needed and is shaping the team accordingly. Other than Swindon in a couple of weeks, which will be difficult, we face several teams throughout February and March in which points will be won moving us up to mid-table. No teams are thrashing us at the moment we just lack some steel in midfield; Pearson and Scowen will contribute to fixing this problem area which will help to create more chances for the strikers. Next season is when we will see the benefits from the foundations being laid this year.
It really hasn't been good enough. The shape of the team has no fluidity to it and recently we've been worse than ever. Winnall's return won't change a thing as it stands because the strikers aren't getting any service. I'm not for or against Wilson but the situation at the moment is dire and it needs to be turned around quickly. Losing wouldn't be such a big problem if we were putting up a fight but we're not.
Spot on. The second half of the season has now started with 2 losses in 3 with the win coming against bottom of the league. Hopefully it picks up but seriously can't see it. Hope I'm wrong
What - he said that we'd be $hite, have a squad and formation all over the place, revert to youth loans and be 2 points from bottom 4? He said all that? Blimey! Have you got a link to that interview buddy?
