... For now. So let's cut the crap about pressure, and fans needing to know it's a work in progress.... Because by and large, even the fans who have been critical, are willing to see that continuity might be better for the club. So, maybe, rather than being abrasive, Keith could embrace the fans and move us forward together.
Nice thought, but it aint going to happen Fired. He has set his stall out and I dont think he thinks he is wrong and that we are all ****s!!
Thing is, taking on the fans only ever results in one thing. . . It's a battle that cannot be won.... So whilst we are still broadly supportive of what he is doing in the circumstances, it might just suit him, the fans, and the club better if he just made an effort to pulle everything together.
Nobody else speaks he is the sole mouthpiece for the club and when Shackell and Robins left last summer we were in the sticky stuff .Falling crowds, a very meagre budget for this league and too many injuries to mention even Luke Steele is injured now and the guy has stood up to be counted. Enjoy your summer Keith and the boys thanks for keeping us in the Championship.
I've seen at least two reasonably successful Barnsley managers do something similar Bassett and his bunch of anoraks statement, Ritchie with his this club won't ever make the premier league statement. Neither lasted very long thereafter, despite the success they'd had previously. If hill doesn't understand that it's his job to get the fans onside, he's doing the club and players a considerable disservice and he's not the messiah he thinks he is.
