I don't have a recommendation just a word of advice, buy the set with the highest contrast ratio you can afford

Ours is the same as that, but 32", and mi dad got his for £450 quid, but that was because he got a discount off of this company that is linked to where he works, it was £700 before discounts

I don't need a 32" for my room though, 23" would do perfectly. Reduced from £529.99 too, which I'd never pay for a TV.

Well, you won't beat that price

You might get a bigger set for not much more, but uf that's the size you're after, go for it.
Samsung and Sony jointly own a panel producing plant and so both use the same range of panels. Hence no worries on picture quality.
Traditionally, Samsung's weak point for flat panel sets is sound - other brands of similar standing (LG, Sharp etc) offer a more cinematic sound experience. However, £350-400 is the going rate for a branded set that size and let's face it, it's a telly for your room not a home cinema.

At that price it gets the nod from me.

    Cheers for the info, mate

I've decided to get one of those. Looks pretty smart and as you said, it does seem very cheap indeed.

Ta for all the help, guys.

    by the way...

the deal is at Richer Sounds.

I have a 32 inch version that I bought from a shop in sheffield (not richer sounds - I'll get the details if you like) - superb set. Has HD and Freeview built in. Lots of inputs, very versatile. I use it as a big monitor for my laptop at times.

It's the same model as LDRed posted but in silver

But since it's the same (surely unbeatable) price, it is indeed a good offer :)
