If ever there was a bums on seats player its him from what ive seen so far. The clips from saturday were awesome and i've not seen anything like that close control and dribbling at oakwell (apart from a few in the west stand) - closest was david currie but he wasnt as good as paddy for going past a player. I never saw georgie best play as a bit before my time but from the videos the way he glided past players looks very similar. Something to look forward to. I hope everyone gets behind them tonight and gives them a buzz from the off and lets turn things around! If your a doom mongerer waiting for us to fail then stay at home.
hes right though, paddy wont play, he ventured into the oppositions on too many occasions on Saturday and needs to be punished. Replaced by an half fit Dawson
i don't remember seeing anyone in recent times try and dribble past an opponent. was Campbell-Ryce the last player who had the temerity to give that a go? all our crosses are from deep, nobody does the old fashioned - get to the by-line and cross it in for us any more.
Well he didnt do too bad did he! enjoyed that. Thought the ref made some poor decisions and they tried to take paddy out of the game but overall a big improvement. Think we have a legend in the making if he can stay fit (or as fit as he can be) and injury free.
i'd love to see him go on the outside a bit more as well. went past players for fun when he did, but only went that way a couple of times. seems to prefer to cut inside, which is a bit unusual for a right footer. maybe that's what confuses the opposition?
