Bit of a defensively orientated central midfield pairing, that's the only worry. That's unless he plays 5 across the middle where he can go with Leon or HRH Brian Howard.

Looking forward to seeing the best starting 11 for a few years

All we need is the correct formation 4-4-2 and none of all that fancy rubbish.

Pick players to fit the system not trying to keep everyone happy.

we just need the right tactics and a couple of strikers that know where the net is

and a left winger, and a left back. Then we're sorted.

There must be a reason why didn't sign a left back

We did sign a left winger and we signed Hume, Rigters but a left back?

We haven't got a natural left back in the first team squad

an issue that simon davey appears reluctant to even talk about. We have one natural left winger but he cant play because of ramadam, something which was presumably known about when he signed. I just cant help but wonder why Simon Davey has taken such a risk to go into a season with just one natural left sided player in the whole squad while knowing even he would miss a chunk of the season. Something isnt right there.

RE: We haven't got a natural left back in the first team squad

It's like the oldEngland thing in Sven's days, lots of decent players in the centre of midfield to chose from but nothing on left, and no matter what combination of midfield players you put there it never seems to work despite the talent of the individuals involved.

Naturallythis is just an analogy and I'm not suggestingLampard is like Leon.
