    We really should do more competitions like free tickets, shirts, tours, etc. instead of just flogging shirts on eBay.

    Surely competitions would generate interest

    Which would generate supporters, sales, etc.

    Maybe I'm wrong.

    Anything that disrupts an easy life for him and his staff is a no-no. They hadn't invented Customer Service when he wor a lad and if you mentioned it to him now he'd put his fingers in his ears and whistle.
