    I would be getting on the blower to a club or two in Egypt or a few sports stores and getting some marketing tie ups sorted.

    Get a few hundred club shirts sent over with Mido on the back, get 'em sold.

    Apparently Mido comes from a wealthy family. Could this be a Cardiff City scenario - "play Mido and we invest; leave him out and see what blackies eggs get you"?

    I read that recently.

    Something along the lines of he doesn't ask for a big wage because money isn't a problem for him - which could explain why he signed for us.

    The egyptian on here las night also said that he played for Zamlek for free, as it was his childhood club and they couldn't afford to pay him a wage, so he said give his wage to the other players, and he'll play for free.

    Dunno if it's true or not like

    My Hammers supporting mate says he's married to the daughter of an Arab Sheik, so he plays for the passion of the game as he doesn't need the cash. Hence him playing for grand a week in the prem for West Ham. I suggest we have a word with his father in law about investment. Even if he's not interested maybe he's got some mates who are. Nothing to lose by finding out by asking :)

    Definitely worth an ask.

    Worst care is that they say no, best case they want to invest and we do well, push for the prem like Reading et al.
