Barnsley sales have increased by 15 per cent, according to secretary Don Rowing (hatsoff)

If we did have the rumoured 7000 season ticket holders last year a 15% increase would still only be 8000.
With all the incentives I would have hoped for more than that. For once the club is trying to sell its self, now is the time to transform all the young'uns you see in Liverpool & Man UTD kits in to little tykes!!!!!!!!!

Offical site said last week we had sold 2,000 in the first two weeks

at the same point last season we had sold 800.

The offers are there.. its just whether these adults want to take their kids..

It could end up meaning less time in the pub/more money spent on snacks at the game.

BFC have done well with the offers, but it's time for the fans and fair-weathers to commit now

You are right. In the same period last year we sold 800. This year we have sold over 2000 according to the official *****. How is that only a 15% increase? Rowing seems a little out with his maths.

BH signing a new contract would probably help!

TBH though plenty of time yet. I've not renewed yet and I'm getting one for the young un too.

We might have sold 2000 in the same time it took us to shift 800 last season. But the 15% increase that he is talking about will be new business. The rest will be renewals!!!

The sales will fly out if.................. The club shows some balls and signs a couple of £1M +

strikers and a couple of quality loan signings.......if the likes of Blackpool can bid £700k then we need to keep up with the Jones's.

Personally I'm waiting for the club to show some ambition with quality proven signings......they show faith and I'll show faith in them with a ST.....think thats what a lot of on the fence fans will be doing.

Yes some of Davey's signings have paid off but we have signed some absolute sh*te and wasted thousands....

MOSSTO, ODEABADBUY, JOHNSON, MATTIS, ETC ETC ETC ALL = SH*TE

    Catch 22

The club will not commit large amounts of cash to signing players until it knows what our season ticket sale(Income) is. The Fair weather fans wont buy season tickets until the know what the playing staff will be for the upcoming season.

If they really want to encourage people through the gates, why not give free admission to one of our home pre season friendlies, let the public try before they buy!!!!

Its time this town realised they have a club thats playing in one of the best leagues in Europe. Take out the prem, Serie A, Primera Division and the Bundesliga and the next best the Championship?? definateley the next best in size of attendences ( except us)

    Catch 22 - Good point mate.......but

who's opur scout Stevie Wonder ?

    ODEABADBUY = £250k/poo

    MOSTTOQUITO = £400k/poo

What a waste of money that was.......

I'm not a fair weather fan, go home and away all over the shop but it's about time the club did splash a bit more coin and purchase quality proven players not gambles.

    Increased sales

Sorry I dont see that dropping the ST by the equivalent of 44p a match is going to generate a massive influx of new ST holders.

Football is a luxury commodity these days with the cost of living, petrol, utiolity bills etc....why should the club expect that by knocking a tenner off that the fans should come back in droves...

fair play to the club for trying but if I saw something in a shop for £320 and it was reduced to £310 I wouldnt rush out to buy it...

I agree mate I too am not a fair weather fan.... Id love to see the best players down at Oakwell. Its all about working within your means though, I think it shows just how important connections are in football. As a new manager Davey's only real connection is Moyes having worked with him at Preston. Look what that did for us.... I give U Anderson a real gem and didnt cost the earth!!!! (Y) (Y)
I just hope he know more people in the game we dont know about who can hook us up like that!!!

Many other clubs have increased their season tickets.....

Would you want one at Donny for over £400. Ours are amongst the cheapest in the division. Its not the point of reducing them, most clubs think its good if they have frozen them like Donny have done, Wednesday have increased theirs.

That's how I feel as well. Our club should be praised for the free season tickets, but reducing the adult price they may as well not have bothered.

Either splash our £3/4M transfer kitty on proven quality players or use it on high wages in the

    loan market.......

    Leeds United after Kevin Phillips.......

If he's up for sale for say £1 - £1.5M then sod it go for him......

If Davey gambles on lower league tripe unproven in this league ie: Jack lester £250k then I'm afraid we're back to square one.

NO AMBITION = F*CK ALL FOR US

but if we do finish up selling 15% more ST's

having dropped the prices by only 3% that seems like it has worked.

Look at the outcry when they went up £20 last year
