Didn't realise he'd got in favour in the first place I think they looked at what he had done for us and though "at £300k, we can afford to take a punt on this" - doesn't look like it's working out, but with the money they've made off West Ham, they can take that on the chin and laugh.

Everyone in the carriage was slagging him off when he got off, the general consensus being that he should be travelling back with the rest of the team and should be concentrating on preparing for the play-offs. (While retelling this story to someone in the pub at London Bridge I was told Cotterill was on their train in similar circumstances, can't confirm this because I didn't see it).
