From Twitter "Barnsley's Stephen Foster is out for the season. Etuhu, McNulty, Edwards and Delap want injections to play tomorrow." If we play like we did on Saturday I want an injection to go and watch. Preferably heroin.
If that's true, they need medals those boys. The fact that they WANT an injection, makes me feel emotional! They're getting every ounce of support I've got to give.
Re: Ooh, I don't like needles Nice to see they're willing to risk injury to play. It could really dig us out of a hole. If we appeal Dawson's red card then we could have: Steele Wiseman Cranie Hassell/Edwards Delap/McNulty Dawson/O'Brien Etuhu Perkins Cywka Scotland/Dagnall O'Grady/Harewood Options everywhere.
It's a big call to make. I dont know how close some are to returning but playing them with an injection and risking them not being back for the remaining games would be counter productive. Then again maybe we have to take the risk for this game. If we win and they are out for a few more games though im not sure it solves much!
Re: Ooh, I don't like needles I think if we start with those 16 we might just nick it tomorrow. You reds!
The fact that injections are even being discussed, tells you how desperate our squad is and how crucial Tuesday's win is
If Etuhu and Delap can make it then our chances increase considerably. Not sure how Etuhu can have an injection for his hamstring?? Also if these players are willing to do that for the cause then all credit to them as I think all 4 are out of contract in the summer.
Re: Ooh, I don't like needles Do you think they'll notice if we sneak sixteen players onto the pitch?
Lets not go overboard, they're not soldiers in a theatre of war but I completely agree with the sentiment of your post and they'll get my full support too.
I think it's a badly worded Tweet. In order for the lads listed above to play they will need painkilling injections. I don't think they're queueing up outside the physios office demanding injections.
I think Scotland could do a Dawson type job in midfield.* He links play well, carry's the ball forward and can find a pass. *For 1 hour that is.
They WANT the injections that will allow them to play. They NEED them to be able to play. They WANT to play so NEED the injections.
