Been away, and I can see we've made a few signings, but as I know nowt about football, I haven't heard of any of 'em. I know the squad is still lean, a good thing in my opinion, but is there any position we still don't have a player for? I realise cover in some positions will be thin on the ground, but can we put out an 11 with everyone playing in their preferred positions? Cheers
First of all, welcome back mate. We now have players for every position, we've even got cover in a few of them! However, our young left back Smith picked up a broken toe in the friendly against Hull & Hemmings injured his ankle in training. Last night there was a meeting held at the ground with Messrs Wilson, Mansford, Hutchings and Crossley & season ticket holders. At one stage Danny said he was hoping to bring in another striker and someone to play wide right.
17 year old left back, who's impressed at all age levels. Only seen him half a dozen times over the last year or so, but I've always been impressed and last season kept suggesting we picked him instead of Kennedy. He already looks better than Tom in my opinion. Unfortunately, he's now injured and just as we get shut of Kennedy. But Joe Dudgeon could be a good addition there.
George Smith, a young lad from the Academy. He played very well against Hull, the game where he picked up his injury. His injury is expected to keep him out for a month, which is why we've brought in Joe Dudgeon on a month's loan. Ironically from Hull.
Jut so tha's caught up, there's talk of us signing Grant Holt or Emile Heskey right now. Wilson said were close with a 'wow' signing
