The decision to fleece those of us who were foolish enough to tick to receive Carling Cup tickets through the post, allowing the club to lift the money from our accounts, by playing the reserves on Tuesday night has worked a treat.

I had a conversation with my brother earlier this week where he defended the decision by saying that if we had played the first team on Tuesday & go down by 1 point, we could have looked at tonights game & said if the players were fit & rested, we might have got 3 points & survived.

My argument was that we could still go down by 1 point & look back at the game on Tuesday & say if only we'd played a full strength team against the Dongs, we could have gone on a good cup run & generated the money that Ritchie has admitted that we need if we are to attract experienced players to the club, that might have saved us.

Oh, & don't get me started on why we feel the need to give other clubs under 19 squad players league experience at the expense of overlooking our own.

Tend to agree to a certain extent.

We should have put out a stronger team midweek , no doubt about that.

But today was down to us going down to ten men early on.

Who knows what might have happened if we had eleven men on the pitch for the full 90min..two strikers, instead of one?

What is very clear though after this weeks footy, is that the squad isn't large enough, or shall we say ..it isn't good enough.[IMG]
