They are complaining that he was doing what we've been asking of a captian all season, talking to the ref. They all reckon that he had the ref in his back pocket and was completely allowed to ref the game. I did notice him speaking to him a few times, it seems like he is a much better choice for captain than Cranie. My personal favourite comment from them so far: One other thing, their number 8,dawson i think?? What a horrible player he is,along the lines of michael brown, didnt stop moaning at the ref, complaining at every descision and constantly niggling. Even had a cry at the ref while walking off at ht. ****.
Another comment that seems too much like fate for me: As people have said, the table doesn't lie, and it shows we're 4th from bottom. with Barnsley 2nd from bottom. Yeovil I think are down now, but everyone else has a chance of staying up, it'll come down to a horrendous mistake or piece of magic somewhere/ He's magic you knoooooooooooow, you'll never get past M'Voto!!
All they want is some good officials http://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/61379/decent-officials-please
I think Dawson is really important to us, his impact can go unnoticed but one thing that does get noticed is the way he gets in the refs face and lets him know when he isn't happy with decisions and fouls, etc. He is doing his captains job very well and long may it continue.
They don't like us do they, they didn't like are super star Neal Redfearn either after they paid over a million for him.
I thought we were brilliant at being a set of b.stards last night. Slowing it down, getting the crowd on their back etc. Brilliant.
Danny seems to be getting the best out of dawson and utilising his best attributes. Never thought I would say this but he is one I think we will look to hold onto for next season regardless of the league we are in!
I've always felt Dawson was decent as a holding midfielder, it was when Flitcroft tried to convert him into a right winger that made most people think he was *****
Dawson until his injury last season's was a player of the year contender. Never got back into it when he came back into the side.
It's odd, but when I consider our team as a group of individuals I end up having that opinion about all of them. I can only think of a couple of non-loanees who, given a yes/no decision, I wouldn't keep. Obviously keeping the same team together wouldn't work because we're in the relegation zone (and have performend abjectly on a number of occasions this season), but I do wonder if our rebuilding should be more about strengthening areas and adding a few top quality players than a total rebuild.
