Spend the money on players!!!!!!!!! What goods a spanking new stand when we cant fill the ground as it is...cant even get half full!
too right, lets start... a save the west stand campaign, theres more characther in that 1 stand than most grounds in there entiriety
SAVE THE WEST!!!!!!! Waste of money replacing it unless we're in the Prem anyway!!!! Might be a good idea to buy Grove St School though. To stop housing development. It might be useful if we did get promoted and did want to rebuild the west!
If we are promoted we will need the stand in place before the promotion to take advantage of the revenue stream. It would have been better if we'd built the North stand before 97/98, but we'd just taken the hit from building the east and ponte stands.
I'm sure a compromise can be reached If the club is to progress to bigger and better things, decent facilities need to be in place if and when we get there.
Imagine how much potential revenue was lost when we were in the Prem with a max 18,669 capacity.
The West Stand certainly does want modernising and upgrading. A roof over the front area would be nice, and even if it isn't bulldozed and rebuilt it could certainly be re-skinned and smartened up, with perhaps a bigger capacity and nicer look to it.
Ithink it's very forward thinking of the board, and perhaps underlines their determination to progress the club more than at any time in its recentpast.

It's the away fans I feel sorry for. They'll have to come up with a song that incorporates the words, 'Quite presentable ground, no fans ... quite presentable ground, no fans.'
