Start on Tuesday night against Gillingham . I think his combative style will , potentially , make him a crowd favourite . He reminds me of a young Alan Lee or , showing my age here , Steve Cooper .

He and Hayes seem the natural partnership to me.

Supported by a midfield of Shuker, Kell, Howard and Devaney.

Playing a passing game this quartet would supplt the forwards and dominate this division.

Going even further back, Wright reminds me of Tommy Graham. Don't want to criticise, but can't for the life of me figure out why Richards was in the starting line-up rather than Wright. Misplaced loyalty perhaps?

    Possibly so

The lad has all the makings of being a crowd favourite .

Don't want to do our manager a disservice

As I like him a lot, but Richards' inclusion in yesterday's starting line-up smacked of Ritchie trying to justify why he battled so hard to keep him and the 18 month contract Richards has just signed.

Having said that, we've only lost once in the last 18(?) and Richards has been very much part of that team.

Ritchie's love child or so it seems.
He works hard enough but has little skill, even less vision and his first touch is abysmal

Not sure how you have jumped to your conclusion about Kell. Hope he does well, we just don't have much to go by. Whilst McPhail's performance yesterday mirrored that of the team - disappointing, in my opinion he is the best midfielder at the club by some distance (and probably our only player with any real class). I think Shuker is becoming our biggest problem. Very capable on his day, but prone to going through lengthy frustrating periods where he loses form (like the last month or so)and can do little right. Not sure how much longer Ritchie can justify his inclusion, but I guess Howard's injury leaves him with little option other than to persevere.

When everyone is fit we'll have the flexability to play different player according to form and not because of requirement.

You must have been at a different game to me.

Wright is the bestcentre forward we have seen since Wiko.
We only looked dangerous when Ritchie brought him on.

That's if Ritchie can tek his rose tinted specsoff and see beyond bloody Richards
18 month contract? Don't mek me laugh

Squad rotation..... Nads and Wright one match, Hayes/Richards the other

Sorry you've got me wrong. I'm talking about Richards here not Wright. Wright is excellent and should have started the game yesterday instead Ritchie cannot see beyond Richards ...ever!

    Agreed
Got to be a back up player and that is all.
