Just been having a look at what I got points for and noticed you get extra points for using the official club coaches, surely that can’t be right! Also gained a loyalty point for buying my mate a home ticket for the Shrewsbury game, thought it would have been as simple as X amount for a ST purchase then points for cup and away games, obviously not.
I guess it’s going to be for anything drives additional revenue into the club. What benefit does it offer if you booked a transport method via another company. Seems logical to me.
You're using a club authorised method of travel. Presumably they get a bit of revenue from that. Seems worthy of a loyalty point to me.
The problem as I see it is, nobody seems to know exactly what loyalty points are awarded for, if they expire etc. There hasn't been anything posted by the club to confirm this. There are also anomalies on peoples accounts, mine included where points seem to be missing and the club haven't responded to emails asking them to clarify why. I'm all for the loyalty points system, but only if it is fair and transparent. My understanding was that we would receive xx points for a season ticket and then xx points per away game which may be higher depending upon distance and/or difficultly attending for example more points for a midweek long distance game. Why can't the club just clarify this?
When you're logged into your online account you just click on the account symbol in top right hand corner of screen (next to the shopping basket).
Heard they're doing away with the loyalty points system this summer anyway. Not sure what will replace it though as it seemed the fairest way to me?
I reported i erroneously had too many so it got fixed. Still a day one priority though. My mate had 70 more points than anyone else. Club not fixed that
Well they don’t honour it anyway when it suits so they might as well do away with it , not that I’ve still got monk on from Championship playoff !!!!
The awarding of loyalty points has been all over the place, and it would be good if the club could use the close season to fix some of the anomalies before the start of the new season. The most obvious inconsistency is that loyalty points were awarded for season ticket purchases in 2020/21 and 2022/23, but not for 2021/22. Surely that's something they could easily correct ahead of the new season so that at least the system has some overall consistency to it. I assume that there will be points added eventually for 2023/24 season tickets too, but it's logical that this hasn't happened yet, with the possibility of a further fixture still to (hopefully) go on sale. Away fixture points are odd too. Buying a ticket for Burton away got me 2 points, but other away fixtures earned 1 point. No idea why there's a difference.
