What is it with this thug? Ivanovic beats him to the ball, so he bites him on the shoulder. Good footballer but will never be respected if he carries on like this.

He was probably feeling peckish after a long hard season on a strict diet.

I'll have my seemingly weekly pop at Suarez again.

Can't stand him, a disgrace to his profession, his football club and terrible role model for children. I'd sack him but then I'd have sacked him a long time ago. I say 'sack', I mean put him on gardening leave and replace him in the summer.

I don't think "gardening leave" will be required now - that should warrant a ban that extends into next season.

It will show the difference in morals between the big clubs in england and clubs in the rest of the world. The last time he bit someone abroad his club banned him for two games

He shouldn't have been on the pitch for that late equaliser. That cost me £30, I had 9/4 Chelsea.

How are footballers outside the law in cases like this - If you go up to someone and bte them anywhere else you would be on a charge of assault and possibly looking at a prison sentance

The FA have to step in though and ban him for 10 games at the start of next season - and I havent seen any post match interviews but the club cant possibly defend that sort of behaviour

Because its football. When they're having a whinge, it's "according to the laws of the land..." When they **** up, it's "football should govern football, we'll handle it internally"

I don't particularly disagree with any of this thread, but which was likely to cause more harm, that or Sturridge's tackle?

    Is it about harm

or what it says about what the player is capable of? He's a racist cheat that's just bitten one of his opponents, totally undefendable, although knowing how Liverpool work as a club and a community, the excuses will be plentiful. "You know what you are, you know what you are......"

To be fair, head over to the Liverpool forum. Everyone to a man is disgusted, and the vast majority want him out of the Club
