    He would be a decent player in many sides. Why the need to compare him to Messi though, he is nowhere near on that level? Rodgers (& Gerrard) in recent weeks have started to sound a bit silly in the comparisons and comments they are making. They are in denial about being an average side.

    Think Rodgers just means Suarez is as important to Liverpool in terms of what he offers, as Messi is to Barcelona. I was dubious about Suarez, but I actually do think he's an exceptional talent, wonderfully skilled. If he stopped trying to wind the world up and concentrated on playing, I think he's be seen as one of Europe's best. I will agree though, he is the stand out player in a terribly average side so lacking in attacking spark that anyone half decent would look immense.
