Another Premiership player to throw his toys out the pram and demand to leave the club, refused to go to the USA or turn upto training! 4 years left on his contract, I would love to see a chairman stick to his guns and refuse to sell him. This player power needs resolving and it needs a high profile case like this for it to start to change.
I'd like to see contracts with small print where a player can be relegated to the reserves/youth team and paid accordingly. So if Modric refused to turn up for training he would suddenly be on £1k per week (at best) until he toed the line....
I agree with you GreekMan. Right load of balls. If you were in any other job and said 'nahh im not working now, i want to go to another place' I wonder how it would go down.
