What a guy. Just what any side would surely want in a player. Not the usual prima doners we see come to Oakwell from the bigger clubs. No play acting, no gobbing to the ref, just what looks like a down to earth model professional. Expects to score goals so when he got one tonight he barely celebrated apart from an hug off his team mate. Tapped Nyatanga on the back at least once out of respect for his marking. Even applauded the east stand at full time as he probably couldn't believe how behind the team the ground was.

I thought he showed just how a top professional should play tonight; I was very impressed by him.

I love his attitude. Didn't want Abramovich's millions to bench warm & instead went to a club where he'd get plenty of action.

You can tell how much the Everton fans like him with the constant songs about him

I do think we missed a trick when he was wearing the Reds shirt for his interview. We should have gone up to Kenwright and agreed to accepting him in lieu of the 15% (which doesn't look like happening this transfer window).

Yes it was good to see him wear the Barnsley shirt. He was pure class last night. Played the game the right way, no petulance and gave credit where it's due. Was unplayable at times but that's why I went, to see top internationals like him pit their wits against my team.

I agree with that. He wouldn't have been expecting to play a full two hours at a side two leagues below his own either and yet he didn't look once like he didn't want to be there playing. I saw on SSN he gave his boots away to two young fans in the away end, which was also a nice touch. He suits a tarn shirt :D

I saw a video of him warming up before there game against Southampton before the game he miss hit a shot and went into the stands hitting a Southampton fan. He walked up into the stand and apologised to the woman the video was shared all over social media. Just seems like a nice genuine guy. Which are few and far in football these days it seems
