Cant see him being here come January, Prem Goalkeeper, that save in 2nd half top drawer, commanding his area confidently too. Deserves a England call up next week, wont get it though. Which is a shame

As i've said below in my report

I reckon he's fast becomming a very acomplished goalkeeper. Maybe an England call-up is the last thing we want, may bring attention onto him. Frank Fielding, Kieran Westwood, David Stockdale, all been called up recently and i'd say Steele is as good if not better than all of them.

He's been nigh-on faultless this season and he would thoroughly deserve a spot in the England squad with the current lack of keepers.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was called up. He deserves it if it comes.

Feckinel boys calm darn!!!!! Good keeper. always been a good shot stopped and now the rest of his game seems to be catching up. People can be good without moving to the prem or playing for england, the same as we can lose a game to a 5hit team and not be nailed on for relegation.

Great Keeper, bit of perspective needed though!

    UREDS!

I think people are saying england because of the keepers that have been called up recent.

    Loach, Stockdale fielding?

2nd tightest defence in the division despite the saves Steele's had to make

    Coincidence?

Personally I feel if Fielding and Stockdale can get a call up, what's stopping Steele who's arguably a better keeper than Stockdale, and certainly more experienced than Fielding.

Its not a case of perspective. Goalkeepers like Frankie Fielding and Scott Loach are in the England squad regularly - Steele is better than both for me at the moment.

Think it might depend on how we are doing. If we are progressing nicely he might not want to go anywhere if we are in or around bottom 3 he would be off I am sure

He came for a couple of good crooses into the box and took them really well. Last year he'd have fumbled one and let it drop.

People forgot how young he was when he came to us and for the last couple of seasons. He had only played about 40 professional games before us. So about a seasons worth. He is 27, still young for a keeper. He will be 3 or 4 years yet before he hits his peak. He will move on to better things I am sure but there is no rush for him. Maybe he can do something with us first? Being No1 is important to Steele, he has made that clear in the past. He knows he is nailed on here to play.
