Luton fan's view of Saturday

Just got this from my mate......

"We were very poor on Saturday and deserved to lose to Barnsley, who played pretty well.

Their early goal didn't help and then we lost Barnet and Feeney - probably our two best players. Boyd was pretty aimless and his chum Morgan hopeless. There was a collective jeer when Morgan was selected as "man of the match". Langley - a freekick specialist - wasted every one. It looked as though that was the only way we were going to score. MOM should probably should have been Bell - one of the few players who seemed to think that the result mattered. Spring should have started but as we had used all our 3 subs, did not get on. I think that he would have made a difference, though short of match fitness.

Barnet and Feeney seem likely to be out for some weeks so our chances against QPR tomorrow look bleak! Certainly forget beating Blackburn Sat even if we beat QPR.

Newell under fire for first time for team selection and the team was booed off at full time.

Newell - probably rightly - doesn't believe that new players will necessarily pay off but nobody understands why he let Peter Holmes out on loan. He has never let Luton down."
