We've 4 out. Don't know the numbers involved but what are the bloody rules?!? It feels like a Boris job and just making it up as they go along.
Has anybody said that we can’t call the game off, or is it that we don’t want to? I can understand why you’d immediately assume we want to call it off, we’re missing players, we’re weaker than we could be. We’re away at the league leaders, though, a place we never get anything. With or without Mowatt, Chaplin, etc I’d not expect us to come away with anything. They have quite a few injuries at the minute, so it’s probably a better time to play them. Not to mention calling it off will leave us with another midweek fixture in the second half of the season, which we could do without.
Seems like the Bristol v Brentford game is off too. Both seem to have been by the EFL after the clubs consulted with them and also with the difficulties implementing more testing due to the NY holiday.
I suppose my point was that Rotherham had 5-6 either out or isolating. We've 4 missing. So how many have Luton or QPR got out? Only 2 PL fixtures postponed up to now. What are the rules wether you want to cancel or not. For something so important it doesn't seem the rules are that transparent.

Why do we want it off ? Every team should do their level best to play & if circumstances are that clubs are struggling to put out a team, then its a different matter but with squads of 25 then cancellations should be hopefully few . Last season when the country went into lockdown & football ceased there was a strong lobby for the season to end & the table at the time stand, which would have meant us dropping & costing us both football wise & financially but thankfully that didn"t happen & the rest is history . I don"t get al this sympathy for Rotherham against us , we might have had a bigger squad to pick from but the Rotherham players had a lot more rest & recuperation time than us , they had their previous 2 games cancelled whilst we kept playing , so in my book that falls into the swings and roundabout scenario , so I hope we keep playing & the league survives
I didn't want it off. Again my point is rules are rules. Rotherham were riddled by it but made to play. Now another match is off with no details. Everton are taking the PL to task over the Man City cancellation. There apparently were rules in place at the start but now they're judging every match on its merits. Rotherham couldn't even field a bench. This is just going to continue and probably get worse. I think it's not the most to ask that people are aware of why/why not games are either on or off.
Rotherham weren't that riddled with it it was more mind games. The last game they played with a full squad wasn't much different to the one they played against us.
If we play and pass Covid on to Norwich that will weaken our promotion rivals, I can see why we want to play.
As well as Covid, as we move closer to kick off, the weather could play a big part in some games taking place. The scenes at Deepdale have just been shown on Sky Sports. Snowing very heavily and settling. They are clearing the lines at the moment but anticipate that conditions are going to get worse.
Rotherhams game at the New York Stadium against Cardiff City called off due to snow and effects it's had on the pitch.
