Held France to a goalless draw on Sunday if that was England v Luxembourg the fallout of a 0-0 would be colossal Didier Deschamps must be under serious pressure now maybe the days of 8-0 thrashings are becoming a thing of the past or maybe coaching and player conditioning are improving across all levels sports science seems to be very important now.

Strange game considering they beat Holland 4-0 four days previous to this.

I reckon my 5 a side team would beat the Dutch at the minute though.

Would give me great pleasure not to have to watch that diving, cheating disgrace of a player Arjen Robben next summer.

In all seriousness, this modern, patient, short passing football style that all the top teams do now isn't fool proof. England struggled to break Malta down on Friday until Malta decided to play a little higher up the field, that's when England final began to tear them to pieces. In fact England's 2nd goal was a pot shot and not the result of patient build up play. I can understand England and France playing like that if they were playing against each other, but when they're playing Malta and Luxembourg, they're going to have less joy.

That was coincidentally only the 2nd time in the group that Malta have conceded more than 2 goals. The other was a 5-1 defeat to Scotland.

"Parking the bus" seems to have become an art form in football with teams at all levels doing it whenever they are up against superior opposition. Malta did it well but WHAT a boring way to play football. I got the feeling that even if England had scored a couple of early goals they would have still carried on playing that way, just trying to keep the score down.

These multi-million prima donnas should be able to play around teams like that though - either with quick passing moves or being able to run past them. Oh hang on though....they can't, can they, because they are prima donnas. I like Harry Kane as a player but he said in the Mail on Sunday how upset he was at the reaction of England fans in Malta. Fair enough Harry but how about getting your team mates to play up to their ludicrously inflated reputations. I'm sick of seeing pedestrian England performances. I keep tuning in, hoping that something different will happen. It hardly ever does.

Used to call it Radio Fadenburg. I used to listen to it in the '70's and the signal used to fade in and out, not as badly as Carloline on 259m though

I remember the fade-in / fade-out used to really annoy me. It seemed to be worse at night.

Can i ask as I'm not much of a gambler but surely with odds of 1/100 even in a accumulator it didn't add much value to the bet?
