i hope they find the £300,000 they need to stop insolvency by the end of january. dont wanna see any club go bust. be a great gesture by the club if society members stood with buckets for them outside oakwell for the hartlepool and huddersfield games. or put £1 on the walsall tickets and gave it to them. that with bucket collections should raise on behalf off barnsley about £12,000. we know how there fans feel being in there situation before. so we should do something.
It is always sad to see a side in financial trouble but...... do you not think they have brought it on themselves by cheating the Football fund?
They have been fined the amount of money they would have had to pay anyway if they had paid for the stand in the correct manner.

i know this will probably be found upon but I'm glad to see macclesfield get what they deserve and no other club should help them out. They commited fraud and took money that was put in by all the other clubs. The person who wrote the article says the money never went near the playing side of things but of course it did. Maybe not directly but indirectly it will have done and it has to have given them an unfair advantage other all the other clubs in the league.
I blame the BBS elves frowned is definetly the word that was in my mind as I typed found for some reason.
RE: It is always sad to see a side in financial trouble but...... It was the former owner who did this, nothing to do with present owners or supporters.
I wouldn't rather comment on this but... When we needed it, did any other club's fan's help us out? If so, fine. If not, they can sort it out themselves I do feel for them, but, to be honest, fraud is fraud. I would rather the buckets of money be put back into our own club...
Just one of many examples When that intrepid bunch of brave (daft) souls made the sponsored walk from Oakwell to Saltergate they were joined by a Wednesday fan.
