her parents shouldn't have left her on her own in the first place No sympathy for them. They're just as bad as that Dewsbury lot.
Do you know that for certain? That they are "no closer to solving the case". How do you know where they are on it? The interview with the McCann's where they were saying they want to know more about who is being investigated/eliminated etc......well as they are still officially suspects then that might be why the police aren't giving them too much info.
Bit harsh If their only crime was leaving the kids alone for a few hours - not condoning it for one minute - but many others have done similar. Different situation to the dysfunctional lot in Drewsbury Trouble is we dont know what happened - if they are more involved than they let on then you might be right, but I dont really think so
Neglect is serious the kids were 3 & 18months. Still think if they were working class not upper middle they would have been vilified. Most parents do not leave toddlers unattended in a strange place to go out boozing. They are culpable & have to live with the guilt. Lucky to have been allowed to keep the twins
RE: Bit harsh Interesting watching an interview with them on BBC News the other morning. They were putting forward questions from viewers and one was about how they could leave the kids in the room in the first place. The mother (can't remember her name!) really got very defensive, said they'd mentioned that before, to the point that she wasn't answering the question but the Scouse accent really started creeping in and the posh accent was going!
Didnt say it wasnt serious Just didnt think its as bad as the Drewsbury lot trying to get public cash by manufacturing a disappearence And it doesnt mean you cant have sympathy for them, even if they are culpable
Depends The Dewsbury one the child didn't come to any harm and probably wouldn't have. A despicable act nevertheless.
