I think the majority of my contacts are already aware of it i don't get the level of interest in this case, seems to be far more media coverage etc than in previous cases of children going missing.
I do.</p> She's little, cute, defenceless, and she did nothing wrong. She did as she was told, trusted those she loved and went to sleep, secure in the knowledge she would be safe. The parents have quite rightly done all they can to keep media interest going. I would too.</p>
Nice sentiments, but I'm sick of being spammed with Madeleine McCann-related stuff. I didn't abduct her, I've never been to Portugal, and, more pertinently, I didn't leave her on her own in preference to going out and stuffing my face. That goes for all my contacts, too.
"The parents have quite rightly done all they can to keep media interest going"</p> </p> at least they can do something right then.</p>
its purely an opinion with no basis in fact but............... I can't help feeling the parents know more than they are letting on?
RE: its purely an opinion with no basis in fact but............... yeah it wouldn't be the first time summat like this has happned but i cant remember so much media coverage happening for one person. granted she is young, cute etc. but people die/go missing everyday.... hate to be the one to say it but they could be in on it but for what reason? could they be covering up for summat? who knows hope shes alright tho
RE: its purely an opinion with no basis in fact but............... I've had the same thought as well. Just seems something strange about how nobody seems to have seen anything, and the leaving her whilst they went to the restaurant but kept checking back.
RE: its purely an opinion with no basis in fact but............... it just seems someone must of known that the children were a) in the room, unattended; and b) that they had only to open an unlocked door to get her. all this was going off in broad daylight at a busy hotel not to mention the fact that they only grabbed madeline and not the others... (dunno) (dunno) (dunno)
I have no/very little sympathy for the parents.. but I have all the sympathy in the World for the little girl. It is unusual that if someone took her, they didn't take the younger children too - maybe Madelaine walked out of the hotel room? Has that been investigated?
Just think it's their way of coping. I do think that their efforts are partially spurred on by a guilt trip though, don't know how they'll ever forgive themselves for leaving three young kids alone. That was so wrong.
Evidently about 20 people went into the bedroom after she had disappeared, contaminating any evidence that may have been left. I guess this was on the assumption that she had got up and wandered off and so everyone was searching the immediate surroundings.
RE: Evidently about 20 people went into the bedroom after she had disappeared. so in my mind thats twenty possible suspects that need checking and rechecking but plod cant really do anything until they find hard evidence.................which in this case would be the worst case scenario
It just seems to me... that if they were checking back and she was asleep, she hears them come in and leave, follows her parents for a bit without them knowing, loses them, and someone takes her. Could be absolutely anyone.
Baby crying in Chalet number 3 - does that ring a bell? I thought the same as you until somebody pointed that out. Still a foolish thing to do though. Also I don't know if the campaign to find her is helping. If someone has abducted her they might do away with her than trty to move her around the country. All very sad indeed.
It certainly does ring a bell. I did that for a summer job at a holiday camp one year. I would never trust a service like that, ever!</p> I thought they hadn't used a babysitting service anyway and they were just checking themselves?</p>
