The little twát has decided to die about 2 inches to the right of centre.
Nicely poised for maximum distraction value when reading the BBS.

    Corn flies

I get this a lot but when it first happened I called Dell. They said that the fact the screen was not a sealed unit and that the little bleeders (corn flies / thunder bugs) could get in was not a design fault and that it was not covered under warranty. They also told me that if I took the screen apart to remove them then I would void my warranty. So they wouldn't fix it and they wouldn't let me fix it.

They made me send them photographs and everything. The best bit was when a techie support guy told me that "that type of screen is not suitable for use in a rural location". I tried to point out that I wasn't exactly sitting in the middle of a field using a laptop but he wasn't having any of it.
