I was impressed with this lad Yesterday. He would be a good addition to our squad assuming theres any truth in our link with him.A mention too for Moncur I thought he was outstanding.

He looks raw but talented. Their only threat.

Moncur was impressive, much quicker than I've seen him before, reminds me of Butterfield which is a compliment.

Angus was man of the match though. Rock solid and composed.

What about that passage of play from James in the second half?

Slid in and nicked the ball, evaded a challenge to win it back, then dinked it past a third player to put himself into space. Brilliant!

I think in recent weeks, both Moncur and Mowatt have shown glimpses of what they're capable of. Moncur was one of the best players in league 1 last season in a Colchester side who went down with the Christmas trimmings. He's certainly not become a bad player overnight.

Would be impressed if we could sign Mahoney. Looked a real threat. Also thought Sam Gallagher was a decent player for them when he came on. 10 goals this season on loan from Southampton. Might be worth a look in summer

Both times we've played Blackburn this season I've thought they had some decent players going forward, Emnes etc. but at the back yesterday they were atrocious. We looked like scoring every time we went forward

I think we may be a victim of our own success in this summers transfers. I heard Tony Stewart on radio Sheff the other night saying " that they would be looking at rising stars and not falling stars from now on" Couple that with both Wigan and Ipswich signing non league/lower league players in the January transfer window. They are just a few that I know of, am sure chairmen up and down the land will be after more for their buck. But what it actually does is put the price up either fees, wages or both for unproven risk players.
Also clubs won't have forgot we have now a few quid in the bank... so all in all I feel a difficult closed season or at least more of a challenge than some think, considering how many players we will be looking to sign. I would like to think that wheels are turning well before EoS.... should be a very interesting summer.

He's a good player and far too good for them but goes down like an absolute clown. I was getting pissed off with him constantly yesterday. Moncur was once again class but will probably be dropped for some unknown reason again until we need him and he'll play well again.
