This is an extract I got for tickets for a new C4 programme, but I do think many people on this board should apply to go on it (me too if I wasn't **** scared and could argue my way out of a wet paper bag). MAKE ME PRIME MINISTER - The Brunel University, Uxbridge Events Channel 4’s new show Make Me Prime Minister will follow 12 ordinary yet opinionated Brits with views from across the political spectrum, in a contest to see what it really takes to operate in the cutthroat world of politics. As part of each episode, the candidates will present their big policy idea in a series of head to head debates. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's spokesman Alastair Campbell and member of the House of Lords Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, two political heavyweights who know exactly what it takes to succeed in office, will host each event. I actually like the two people mentioned too (which is odd, because I'm far further to the left than both)
Her TV/Radio 'light entertainment' personality puts her in a very good light, and makes me wonder if she's in the wrong party.
90% income tax on earnings above £200k pretty sure they'll not starve. We have a minimum wage why not a maximum. Free school meals on all state schools. Re nationalise All public transport services. Re nationalise Water. gas and electricity industries. Minimum wage £15ph. To take people off benefit and subsidise small firms. Employ more NHS and Police to cater to demand. Close all the tax loopholes to help fund the above. Eg Amazon etc. Less than 5% of the population own more than 50% of the wealth. Time to take some of it back. Put the PM in prison for crimes against the state and cos I hate the b'std. Close all the cabinets accounts as they've done with the oligarchs. Especially the Chancellors missus. Vote Hooky. Other policies considered. But I have the final say.
Mandatory state buy-back of all long-term empty properties to be turned into social or affordable housing
