Gotta say, fellers, I was impressed with Captain Von Trapp's words today. I like his calling a spade a shovel (Vaz Te "rubbish" at Portsmouth). Also, like the quote about preferring players who help the team above very good player in a losing team. And if Butterfield goes, someone else will come along. Best stuff since Robins' words early on in his reign. And while I'm on the 'humble pie' theme, I note we now have 11 goals conceded in 12 games thus far. Last season, 21 in the first 12. So at this stage, Shackell's departure has not been as disastrous as I feared. Goddammit, I feel almost positive!
If he is winning you over then he really is the second coming. I think the future is bright under Hillcroft.
Ah know mate........... But this is what's doing my brains in wih BFC. OK, today may just be a blip, but Portsmouth - Burnley - Cardiff. No consistency! Are we really any further forward than under Ritchie/Davey/Robins? We'll carry on getting good results, but we'll lace 'em with crap ones. Butterfield is beginning to shine - then he'll be sold - then we'll get someone else - then he'll be sold! All the time, people like me (and I know you'll say "not a true supporter", "fickle", "glory hunter" and all the rest) are getting hacked off, and the crowd is going down! I mean, what's the point? This club is...... oh no - sod it, now look what you've made me do! I'm off to watch 'Strictly'!!!
Listen, it could be a lot worse. Where I'm living most of my mates are Leicester, Coventry, Forest fans..............its great being a Barnsley fan down here at the mo. Up there you've got the blades, fowls, donny. We're doing OK, did you really expect anything else at Cardiff, we did atleast score 3 for the first time this season.
