Did I miss something? Have we been relegated? 6 games left and its in our own hands. When we get to the stage when we have to rely on other teams, then I will start to worry. Nobody fancied us against Stoke, or Plymouth and the lads came through. FFS lets get behind the team
RE: Did I miss something? Have we been relegated? Yes I believe as they say - some people have been convinced we were relegated since day one
RE: Did I miss something? Have we been relegated? I haven't it's only recent, think the board may have been though.
RE: True but hey I don't know what to say nt My opinion is that based on current form, management tactics WE WILL NOT SURVIVE. Other teams are seeing the players pull together, we are not! Whether that is because of the negative tactics, lack of passion in the team or management not motivating.
I said at start of season we would survive, and I said at Christmas we would.

The team pulled together at Plymouth.. and at Stoke. We knew against Sunderland, Derby, and Birmingham we would struggle. The matches against Southend, Palace, and Leicester will be the deciding games. It ain't over till its over, and there is still a way to go. Keep the faith people.
RE: The team pulled together at Plymouth.. It's not the fact we are playing better teams - I think most folk recognise that. It's the way we set out against them. We died without a whimper against Sunderland, Coventry was an absolute non event, and it was only when we went 2 down last Saturday did Davey change anything. We then started to look like we had a midfield, Hayes caused them problems down the flanl AND he tracked back, and Ferenczi at last looked like he belonged on a football pitch cos he had his mate at the side of him to work with.
I'll bet a pound to a pinch of **** that at Ipswich on Saturday Davey reverts back to 1 up front and McCann back in the middle. If he does, then he deserves nothing from the game. I can't believe what I read when folk say Davey's addressed our defensive issues etc - he regularly sets up a midfield that offers fck all protection to the back 4 - both goals last saturday came from loose balls, and it gives no attacking threat because the teams most creative player is stuck on the wing because Davey thinks his defensive work isn't up to much. We persist with McCann who may well develop, but sorry, he is nowhere near Championship standard at the minute. Whilst Richie Jones gets splinters in his arse.
Davey needs to change his attitude to matches, because if he doesn't we'll get 4 points maximum from our remaining games, and then we're fcked. Let's see what 'Box Office' means in League 1.

I watched 'Top Gun' but you wouldn't want me flying an F-15.
I don't know if Davey will develop or what, I hope he does obviously for the good of BFC, but whilever he's learning his trade, my Football Club is in a relegation dogfight. I don't blame Davey for that, I blame those who are very quiet at the minute for putting him there and for their management of pre season and this campaign.

Agree mate, I meant the Davey part in joke!
The powers above need to make a statement. They were quick to jump On AR's back when things went tits up, and during the weeks after...... Now when we need to hear something, nothing!!!! No contract talks mentioned, no support for manager / players.

Quote from davey "Goals change games and we had to change how we went about it when we conceded."
So we had no intention of going for a goal until we went behind. In a home game. I admit they are top of the league, but they looked average to me, although we hardly made them break sweat at times.
He must realise the difference when hayes came on and we had two players in their half instead of just one.
+ as you say, a lot of our goals conceded recently are coming from rebounds/clearances to the edge of the area, that we are just not picking up on. It needs sorting. Quickly.

Sunderland, Derby and probably Birmingham.. **** scared of the opposition. Only plan was to draw yet when we actually had the temerity to play against them, we looked like we could have got results
RE: Sunderland, Derby and probably Birmingham.. Waiting until we are a goal or two behind, before we think about possibly, if we can be arsed, trying to play football and attack the opposition is not a good idea. Ever. Especially when teams around are picking up points.
Still it worked against plymouth and stoke, so no doubt it will be tried again on saturday.
3 points and it will be all cheers round here. Squeaky bum time.
