Just received this as a tweet. At least in this country the little blighters only cost money after they are born.
An acquaintance of mine sold up and moved to Clearwater Florida, Started a little business over there. After a few years had an heart attack, not being one for insurance or owt like that. Cost him 750k, soon moved back to England.....dead now tho

Won't stop these lot in number ten at the minute selling it off to the highest bidder though will it.
Recently back from a visit to the US. My American step-daughter is expecting a baby, as such her medical bills are taken care of by the state of New Hampshire, however, she still gets billed by the hospital. I saw one of the bills for the visits she's had so far (6 months into the pregancy) and it was already about $3000. It's absolutely baffling. My wife posted something up on facebook last week about healthcare in US compared to elsewhere and said it was the number 1 reason why she would not move back. Caused quite a heated debate with her sister!
Best NHS Trust in England is privately-run Hinchingbrooke Health Care NHS Trust. It's also the only privately-run NHS Trust. http://www.hinchingbrooke.nhs.uk/hinchingbrooke-news/?tag=hinchingbrooke-hospital
The American system is rubbish and expensive, everyone know that, there are many better examples of countries where both private and public money is used which are superior to the NHS and the American system, the top two in the world being rated as France and Italy.
Aye they won some 'industry' gong. Here's some more in depth analysis. http://hospitals.findthebest.co.uk Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Of course the German system has more top ranked hospitals than either. At least go for facts Glorious. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Ranked health systems rather than individual hospitals. Germany uses a mixture of private and public money as well though, most countries do, the only country that has a system like ours is Canada, which has similar problems to us, long waiting lists etc but the drugs are cheaper than in the USA.
Strange, I could swear that the OP was a showing a bill from the US, hence my comment. Besides which - the article she posted up was this.... http://www.commonwealthfund.org/pub...2014/jun/mirror-mirror#/.U58yCVi2GW8.facebook
I wasn't commenting on the type of system just pointing out you are wrong every time you trot this ***** out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
