All the Cardiff fans will say this is so wrong and then turn up to the next match Football fans , scabs the lot of us.
I'll never set foot in oakwell again if Wilson was ever to become our manager again.....err walking in a Wilson wonderland..yep you're right mate, we are the most fickle people ever hehe
you can hear malky now - "no worries, i'll do whichever you want, as long as my contract gets paid up".
Why would he choose to resign? In that position I'd let myself get the sack, take the money and the sympathy vote.
So that's Newcastle, Reading, Soton and now Cardiff in recent years to get shut of the manager who got them promoted. And there's probably others I'm forgetting. Absolutely barmy. Then you get the likes of Di Canio getting a job at that level off the back of a fourth tier promotion. Cardiff fans won't care so long as they stay up. They already changed their colours. Then you've the Hull name change. Football is ****** up.
Pantos are not just for Christmas you know Fair play, the man's a lunatic. No doubt a fantastic businessman, you don't become a billionaire by chance - but no clue whatsoever about football & how it's run. Mackay has laid the foundations to help this club grow - right from the academy & through to the first team. That also includes the backroom staff from scouts to sports scientists. Tan has clearly backed him - but because he has invested £35m (he says £50m), he believes we should be a top 4 side. No, seriously - he really does. He can't see that other, more established clubs, had a stronger base to start with. A major factor is also the high-trousered ones ego. He hates the fact that MM is more popular than him. He's put in the money so should be top dog in his mind. As for the alleged overspend, it's Tans right hand man Simon lim that wrote the contracts, authorised them - and signed the cheques. Then accuses Ian Moody & then Mackay of an overspend based on add-ons (that haven't actually been paid as yet - loyalty bonusses, appearances, caps etc). Tan wasn't aware of post-season bonusses being paid as a matter of course by all clubs either - like I said, he's not a football man. If anyone's responsible, it's Lim - or Tan himself. Tan should have been a legend, saving the club and pumping millions into it to take it forward. Yet he seems to be doing everything he can to alienate poeple, because he can. Mackay won't be short of clubs, but Tan will be short of friends down here - other than the yes men he's installed.
disgusting really, obviously I don't know the ins and outs of Cardiff but he seems to be doing an excellent job under the circumstances. The money they have spent is chicken feed for the Premier League, the chairman is obviously off his tits. Chances are they'll go the relatively unknown foreign manager route which has seemingly worked well for Southampton but rarely does and will just undo all the work Malkay has done.
I hope they go darn mesen, another club showing all that is wrong with the game over here, Swansea are a far better example on how a footy club should be run and evolve, and they aren't exactly potless.
Unlike many on here, I'm not a Cardiff hater, but I really don't like your chairman. The money's obviously nice, but he's spoiling your club.
Actually, living in post-Soviet Russia, I've got to disagree with you on this one! Plenty of people made huge fortunes almost by chance in the 90s.And plenty still do with very minimal effort, providing they have the right government (mafia) cconnections. I know one bloke indirectly who ran a very modest building company and pretty much by his own admission stumbled upon a government contract to build a fence along the entire of the new railway line from Moscow to St Petersburg. Obviously he had to pay a few sweeteners in the right places but in the end he was awarded the tender,, worth around £100 million euros
Hehehe. They won't be becoming billionaires any time soon. I think they're even too incompetent to work for the Russian government, which is really saying something!
Foreign owners always seem to get an hard time when we don't know properly the ins and outs. 9 points from a possible 30 despite allegedly spending 15 million more than he was supposed to. Malkay will have known beforehand the club owner is a little crazy with him doing things like changing the home shirt colour. Yet instead when on about transfer funds giving the diplomatic answer most managers come out with such as "I will sit down with the owner and see where we are at", he instead raises fans hopes by asking for three new players. Now he looks silly because he won't be getting his wish that he should have kept to himself. He might get sacked? So what. He was quick to leave another club to join Cardiff so what goes around comes around. All is fair.
