An American man has been bailed after allegedly setting another man’s trousers on fire after a heavy night of drinking A 21-year-old American man has been charged with aggravated battery after allegedly setting fire to another man’s trousers after a night of drinking, reports the Chicago Tribune. Joseph Hornsey, of Godfrey, Illinois, had been camping in a backyard with the unfortunate victim. KSDK.com reports that local police revealed that the frayed strings of the victim’s trousers where set on fire with a cigarette lighter as he slept. According to KSDK.com, the victim said he awoke to find the trousers he was wearing engulfed in flames. He hurriedly put out the fire and went back to sleep. Next morning he discovered painful blisters on his leg from the fire and had to be taken to a hospital by a family member. Doctors confirmed he had suffered second and third degree burns. Police met the victim in the emergency room of the hospital and subsequently went to Joseph Hornsey’s home and took him into custody. Horney was later freed on a £20,000 bond.
