They're just not *that* big a club. Sizeable, but nothing compared to their neighbours; or Arsenal, or Liverpool, or even Newcastle. They won the oil lottery, but you can't buy a fanbase.
Never understood why they chose City to buy. Personally, id have gone for Newcastle. With a top team challenging for silverware, you'd be pulling in crowds matching any others in the league if they expanded st james. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
