Eighty eight minutes gone Wolves 3 Man City 2. Keeper sent off. Liverpool should win the title now. Thirteen points clear of Leicester and fourteen clear of City, plus they have a game in hand.
Pep probably won't be around for next season as he never spends too long in the same place and will probably say he needs another rest. Wherever he goes he has a ready made side to manage. I don't think he will fancy having to do an actual summer rebuild job for the first time and if he doesn't win the champions league he might not get to make the decision anyway.
Just because he's had the chance to manage at the top clubs doesn't mean he's a bad manager. He's let the title race go and is concentrating on the Champions league (but won't admit it !)
He's a good manager, but he's a chequebook manager who will walk away when it gets tough. He'll go to PSG or Juve in the summer, rack a up a few free league titles and fail to win the Champions League again. He's also a massive hypocrite with his support for Catalan separatists and journalists whilst happily taking millions in wages from the Saudis and spending hundreds of millions of their dirty money only to get tonked by Liverpool.
They have all taken harder jobs given the state of squads and resources at their disposal than Pep has.
So he should manage Bury next season to prove himself? That's like you or I taking a worse paid job just to prove we 'still have it'
Looks as though Pep is rightly saying that the title has gone for this season. Pep Guardiola: 'Liverpool's advantage is too big' for Man City http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50930157
Not saying he should take a **** job, I agree there's no reason for him to do that (other than proving himself to knobheads like me). But what he should do is stay at City and try to regain the title from Liverpool next season. But I very much doubt he will.
I agree with you there - would like to see him stick it out. 2 titles back to back is not to be sniffed at though. Plus can see Klopp going to BM or Madrid if he wins the league.
Hope he isn't concentrating on Champion's league - defence isn't good enough. Kompany has been holding it together for years - he's been their VVD
