RE: My neighbour who is an Actor Don't trust anyone in reflective shades ... who knows what they're looking at!
As I said ...... he works in his theatre company during most of the year but come November he goes off to his other job as a Ski Instructor in Canada. hHe is a hit with the ladies as he is Italian.
BTW Laura is settling in well at school. She enjoys the subjects and thankfully likes the Teachers. The only real downside is having to be up at 6.30am to catch the bus for 7.45am.
RE: BTW Laura is settling in well That's good. ouch 6.30.... u don't expect to be betting up at that time when they're older.
I know it's not fair. I want to stay in bed a little longer but mum says I have to be up so it gives me time to have my medicines, get something to eat (yuk) and get myself ready. Next week is a short week as we finish at midday on Thursday as it is Open Evening for Yr6 to look round and then we have an inset day on Friday.
Mark is going grey now but he used to have black hair. I think the phrase tall, dark and handsome is correct in his case.
RE: I know it's not fair. Hi Laura, Good that you're liking school though. Those early starts are good practice for later life! When you get to my age, you could have a one year old who insists on doing "cot gymnastics" at 3am,4am and 5am! Then you can have bags under your eyes like mine!!
Aww Or like mums during the holidays! I sometimes stayrd up until after midnight and then mum would be awake when Chris got in from work at 2ish and then up with dad at 5am when he went to work. She says she hasn't recovered yet.ff
RE: Aww Yes - so 6.30 isn't so bad really - if you go to bed early enough?!!! ... and give your mum a much needed rest!!
Well................. I was aiming at going about 9 - 9.30 so I could read for a while before settling down but I haven't kept to that. I think I will have to start soon as I'm getting tired with all the walking round school carrying my heavy bag. I usually get in have a drink and maybe a snack, get my homework done, have tea then the next couple of hours are mine to either go out to play or unwind in my room with my music or tv etc.
RE: Well................. When I was 15, I had a great routine which involved tea, homework, soap operas, playing outside, and then taking myself off to bed at 9.30pm. I used to have an adult free zone of my own accord, put Radio Luxembourg on (ask mum & dad), and unwind doing my own stuff. The best thing about it was because I did it every night, of my own free will, my parents were happy to leave me to my own devices to do "teenager stuff" - in those days I was writing to pen pals/ listening to records etc. ... but I was always the first asleep & the first to get in the shower!!
